Säkraplatser prize in memory of Ida Johansson

Ida was a young woman with great commitment against violence, and for justice and equality. She was an important person in her circle of friends and highly valued among her fellow students on the sociology program at Umeå University. The ability to see and feel with people was a strong driving force behind her desire to make a difference in the world. Ida was murdered by an assailant unknown to her during a jogging trip in her home municipality of Upplands Väsby in August 2015, a few days before her twenty-second birthday.
